Why we built it
Pinterest is one of the best places on the internet for visual inspiration — wedding boards, recipe collections, design references, mood boards for film and fashion. But actually saving a pin for offline use is surprisingly painful. The native "Save" button keeps the pin trapped inside Pinterest. Screenshots lose resolution and add unwanted UI. Long-pressing a video gives you nothing useful.
The existing Pinterest video downloaders weren't great either: aggressive ads, daily limits, watermarks on free downloads, premium tiers that gated HD. So we built video-pin — a Pinterest downloader that does one thing, does it fast, and gets out of your way.
What makes us different
- No signup, ever. Most downloaders gate features behind accounts. We don't, because we don't need your data to make this work.
- No watermark from us. What you download is exactly what the creator uploaded. We don't stamp our brand on your saves.
- No download limits. Save one pin or a thousand. Same price — zero.
- Mobile-first. Most Pinterest browsing happens on phones. video-pin is built phone-first, not as a desktop site with mobile bolted on.
- No popup ads in the download flow. If we ever monetize, it won't be by interrupting the thing you came here to do.
How it works (briefly)
video-pin runs entirely on edge infrastructure. When you paste a pin link, our server in the nearest data center fetches the page from Pinterest, parses out the original media URLs, and streams the file directly to your device. We don't store, cache, or process the media. The whole roundtrip is usually under five seconds.
What we don't do
- We don't run ads in the download flow.
- We don't sell, share, or aggregate your data — see the privacy policy.
- We don't impersonate Pinterest or claim any affiliation with them.
- We don't help anyone get access to private or deleted pins.
