What video-pin does and doesn't host
video-pin does not host, store, or cache any third-party content. We are a utility that helps users access publicly available media on Pinterest's own servers. When you click "Download" on video-pin, the file is streamed directly from Pinterest's CDN — we are merely a conduit.
For this reason, takedown requests for the underlying content should typically be sent to Pinterest directly, since they host the file. However, if you believe video-pin is being used to facilitate access to material that infringes your copyright, we will cooperate by blocking specific pin URLs from being processed by our service.
How to send a DMCA notice
If you are the rights-holder (or authorized agent) and you believe content accessible via video-pin infringes your copyright, send a written notice to dmca@video-pin.com containing all of the following:
- A physical or electronic signature of the person authorized to act on behalf of the owner of the exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed.
- The specific Pinterest pin URL(s) you are objecting to.
- Your contact information: full legal name, mailing address, telephone number, and email.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the rights owner.
What happens after we receive a notice
Upon receiving a valid notice, we will typically within 24–48 hours:
- Add the specific Pinterest pin URL(s) to a blocklist so that video-pin refuses to process them.
- Notify the submitter of the action taken.
- Recommend the submitter also contact Pinterest to remove the underlying content.
Counter-notice
If you believe content has been blocked in error, you may submit a counter-notice to dmca@video-pin.com containing your signature, identification of the URL blocked, a statement under penalty of perjury that the block was the result of mistake, and your contact information.
Repeat infringers
video-pin does not have user accounts, but we will take appropriate action against IP addresses or networks that repeatedly attempt to use the service to access infringing material, including permanent blocking.
Bad-faith claims
Filing a false DMCA notice — claiming rights to material you don't own — can expose you to liability under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f). Please only file notices for content you actually have rights to.
