This privacy policy explains what information video-pin ("we", "us", "video-pin.com") collects when you use our Pinterest video downloader, what we do with it, and what we don't do. By using video-pin, you agree to this policy.
Information we collect
We deliberately collect very little:
- The Pinterest URL you submit. This is processed in real-time to extract media URLs and is not stored after the request completes.
- Standard server logs. Our hosting provider records request metadata — IP address, timestamp, user agent, referer — for abuse prevention and security. These logs are retained briefly per standard hosting policies.
- Anonymous analytics. We may use privacy-respecting, cookie-free analytics to count page views. These do not track individuals.
Information we do not collect
- We do not require an account, so we don't collect names, emails, or passwords.
- We don't set tracking cookies or fingerprint your browser.
- We don't store the videos or images that pass through our service.
- We don't sell, rent, or share data with advertisers or third parties.
- We don't track you across other websites.
How we use information
The minimal information we do receive is used only to:
- Fulfill your download request (fetch the pin and return media URLs).
- Prevent abuse and security incidents.
- Improve the service through aggregate, anonymous usage patterns.
Third parties
To deliver video-pin we rely on a small number of infrastructure providers:
- Cloudflare for hosting and CDN.
- Google Fonts for web typography.
- Pinterest's CDN — when you click a download button, the file is fetched from Pinterest's servers. Pinterest may log that fetch.
We do not embed advertising trackers, social-media pixels, or third-party analytics that profile users.
Cookies
video-pin does not use cookies for tracking. Your browser may set a session cookie purely for technical reasons, but no personally identifying cookie is set by us.
Children
video-pin is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Your rights
Because we don't store personal information about you, there's typically nothing for us to delete or export. If you believe we've inadvertently stored information about you and want it removed, email hello@video-pin.com and we'll act on the request promptly.
Changes
We may update this policy as the service evolves. Significant changes will be noted by updating the "last updated" date at the top of this page.
